Dopefiend: the URL

The book is about halfway finished and I am currently negotiating with a publisher. I woke up at five am this morning, somewhere between excited and panic. I thought, Why haven’t I created a blog for the book?

Of course, dopefiend was already taken. Hopefiend, too.

Fiend? All gone.

Fiendish? No joy.

Finally, FIENDISHLY.

He fiendishly captured the last of the fiend naming variations available on WordPress. Okay, fine. Once we finalize the title of the book, I’ll get a domain name for the site. No problem.

I will have more to post as we get closer to launch. For now, use these links back to my personal blog at Present Tense (past imperfect) to read more about the project and the first chapter.

  2. Tim Elhajj has just blown my mind. We grew up in the same town, went to the same school, had the same friends, and also had the same vice: Drugs! Unfortunately, that is the only thing we had in common the last time I laid eyes on Tim. I am quite surprised to see that Tim has become an author and a damned good one as far as I can tell so far. I’m having a time of it trying to separate these two people who both live inside of Tim now, the addict, who I knew and the author, father, husband and and recovering addict, who I don’t know. I’m hoping to learn alot about this new Tim now that we are friends again, even if it’s only on FB, and of course I’m going to buy his book and also try and get my hands on what ever else he has written. I love to write myself, and this facet of Tim’s life, is very interesting to me. I wish him all the luck in the world.
